My Personal Story

My Journey to Healing

My healing journey began 30 years ago with a chronic headache at age 15. After being diagnosed with TMJ disorder, I went through countless treatments—orthodontics, mouthpieces, medications, and even surgeries—that only seemed to make things worse. I was on migraine meds, antidepressants, and a cocktail of other drugs that wreaked havoc on my gut and overall health.

Fast forward a few decades, and I was a walking encyclopedia of Western medicine side effects, still plagued by pain and discomfort. That’s when I decided to flip the script and explore Eastern medicine. Suddenly, food became medicine (who knew it wasn’t just for comfort?), and I discovered that my body was storing emotions like a hoarder. I tried everything from acupuncture to weird neck contraptions and finally started feeling my body again—literally.

The real UPLEVEL came when I found fascial maneuvers and started working with Human Garage’s philosophies. Hydrating with silica and minerals (hello, national dehydration pandemic) helped reverse my chronic dehydration. The tension that had been my constant companion for decades finally started to melt away, and joy—yes, actual joy—returned to my life.

One of the most rewarding parts of this journey was helping my sister-in-law, Lori, who had been struggling with Parkinson’s for eight years. After just four months of fascial maneuvers and body language work, Lori was moving like a new person. This experience deepened my connection with Human Garage, where I now volunteer and coach others on their healing journeys.

Today, I’m on a mission to share the lost art of body language and speech translation to heal not just ourselves, but future generations too.
